Terms & Conditions

By booking any hire package you hereby accept the following terms and conditions.

 

Health and Safety:

 

Little Explorers Playground is fully covered by Public Liability Insurance; however, we accept no liability for any injury, illness or even death that may occur as a result of using this equipment. The person/organisation hiring the equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from, or as a result of misuse or reckless use. Please note that all persons using this soft play equipment do so at their own risk and it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the following safety guidelines are always adhered to during use.

  1. The hirer/supervisor of the event must be a responsible person, over 18 years of age who is not intoxicated. They must supervise the use of the hired equipment at ALL times during the hire period. Little Explorers Playground does not supervise the event for which the equipment has been hired. However, we may do so for public events at an additional cost to the hirer and subject to staff availability. Contact us for supervision rates.
  2. Ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded and limit numbers of children using the equipment to ages and sizes that are appropriate to help prevent accidents and injuries from occurring. Do not allow older/larger children to use the equipment at the same time as younger/smaller children.
  3. Please note that there is an age limit of up to 5 years on our equipment at present. Please ensure that no one over this age uses the equipment.
  4. Do not move any of the equipment after setup by Little Explorers Playground staff as this may result in injury upon use or damage to the equipment. Photographs will be taken immediately following setup as evidence. Please note if you have selected a DIY option, you are responsible for setting up the equipment safely and correctly. A step-by-step video can be found on our Instagram page. Please ensure you follow this guide to meet safety standards. If any damage occurs to the equipment during the hire period an additional repair fee will be charged according to the cost of the repairs required.
  5. No food, drinks and/or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the hire equipment at any time in order to avoid choking and mess. Little Explorers Playground performs routine cleaning on all of its equipment, however if the equipment is found to be in an excessively messy or unclean condition upon collection an additional cleaning fee will apply according to the associated cleaning costs required because of this.
  6. No glass is to enter the soft play area at ANY time. Broken glass could result in serious injury and/or damage the equipment.
  7. Shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges and any other sharp objects MUST be removed prior to entering the soft play area. Parents/guardians who enter the soft play area must also remove their shoes. This helps to prevent injuries from occurring and also protects the equipment from damage. For hygiene reasons socks MUST be worn at all times in the soft play area.
  8. Do not allow any child who has reported any illness symptoms and/or open wounds to enter the soft play area at any time. This will avoid the spread of illness, infection or disease.
  9. There are to be no acrobatics or gymnastics type activity performed on the soft play equipment at any time. Strictly no jumping, pushing, intentional colliding or any behaviour that is likely to result in injury to self or others.
  10. No smoking, barbeques, lighters, toys, pets or animals to be on or near the hire equipment at any time.
  11. Please ensure that the area of 1 meter surrounding the soft play equipment is kept completely clear.
  12. No one is to be on the equipment during the setup or dismantling period as this could result in injury occurring.
  13. It is recommended that shade is available for all outdoor setups, especially in hotter months. The external material of our equipment can get very hot, making burns possible. Little Explorers Playground accepts no liability for this or other injury as stated above.

 

General

 

  1. No substances or materials including but not limited to face paints, bubbles, confetti, party poppers, streamers, silly string or stickers are to come into contact with the equipment at any time. If any stains are on the equipment as a result of this, an additional cleaning fee will be charged or an equipment replacement fee may even be charged if staining is unable to be removed. Little Explorers Playground are aware of the condition the equipment is in prior to each hire and photographs are taken following all setups as evidence of this.
  2. The hirer will be responsible for any loss of equipment during the hire period and will be charged accordingly.
  3. Any damage to the equipment must be reported immediately to Little Explorers Playground. If you are doing a DIY set up, ensure you adhere to the instructions given on how to set up by Little Explorers Playground.
  4. If the hirer is not happy with the setup of the soft play equipment, they must state this at the time of setup prior to Little Explorers Playground leaving.

 

Booking and Cancellation

 

  1. All prices are subject to change at any time, however if a booking has been made the price quoted at that time will not change.
  2. All Bookings are only secured once a $50 non-refundable deposit is made.
  3. If the booking is cancelled within 7 days prior to the event, your deposit will be forfeited as it is non-refundable. However, if cancellation occurs in excess of 7 days prior to the event, the hirer will be issued a credit for the amount of the booking fee, which may be used to rebook the event at another date within a period of 6 months after the initial booking date, subject to availability.
  4. The balance is payable one week prior to the event.
  5. In the occurrence of bad weather for outdoor bookings, contact will be made by us the day prior/on the day of the event to discuss your Plan B inside area set up. Unfortunately, Little Explorers Playground is not liable for when it rains. We cannot set up in the rain.
  6. Hire rates for all packages are subject to change at any time. This rate will be secured upon booking and deposit.

 

Delivery and Setup/Pack up

 

  1. Delivery and set-up are included in the price within 30kms of postcode 4123. $1.00 per km for each additional km.
  2. We deliver, set up, and break down play equipment for you. Our set-up will take up to 1 hour and 1 hour following the event for dismantle; cleaning and collection of the equipment. This is not included in your booked time. Please take this into account when booking venue times. If you have chosen the DIY option allow for 30min to set up your soft play.
  3. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure ease of access to the venue for setup/collection of the soft play equipment. Special instructions and other restrictions (stairs, elevators, limited parking) must be disclosed in advance before your party date so that we can plan for them. Additional location fees may apply if we must deliver via stairs or to venues located long distances from the loading zone (including parks, large estates, or other locations that present delivery complications).
  4. Any paid parking that incurs during pick up and/or drop off for a booking must be reimbursed at the Hirer’s own expense.
  5. We are often offered assistance upon setup and pack up. Although this is appreciated, it is not necessary and the hirer or persons associated with the hirer do so voluntarily and are not covered by Little Explorers insurance policy.
  6. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that there is adequate space available for the soft play setup and also for the required clearance space around the setup. Please check the measurements carefully prior to confirming your booking. For health and safety reasons, we reserve the right to remove certain items from the hire package if there is not adequate space available. If items are removed under these circumstances the total fee will still be charged
